Largest business market in south east Europe set to join EU in 2007. Bordered by Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, Serbia and Montenegro with a Black Sea coast of 244km. It is a stable democratic republic with two chamber parliament, the 12th largest country in Europe (238,391 sq kilometers). The official language is Romanian but English is widely spoken.
