There has been great interest in the newly emerging countries such as Bulgaria and Croatia. The Romanian market has been quietly expanding and due to property laws that forbad foreigners from buying in Romania inward investment has been limited. In late 2004, the new government proposed many changes to encourage entreprise and to open up the economy making it ready for accession into the EU in 2007.
